This was George A. Romero's original 'dead' movie, and it is a scary, chilling, terrifying film. The budget was minimal, and this meant that almost the whole film had to be shot in one house. A group of zombies attack a group of non-zombies, and the terrifying aspect is that anyone who you see on the street who looks a bit weird could theoretically be a zombie and be out to kill you! The scariest scene is the one near the beginning where the dead rise up from their graves.
