Night On Earth (DVD)

I don’t often go to the pictures, I rarely watch TV, I have no DVD-player, my video recorder is kaputt, I read quite a lot about actors and films, though. Odd? Maybe. Jim Jarmusch is one of the directors I’ve read about so when I had the opportunity of watching Night on Earth I decided to add ‘the real thing’ to my theoretical information. Night on Earth (1991) is five films in one, five stories set simultaneously in five different cities around the world. Each story is about the adventures (or misadventures) of five different taxi drivers and their punters. All of the stories look in fine detail at the relationship which develops between driver and passenger(s) during the short duration of their journey. Night on Earth is a comedy drama film released in year 1991. Film was written and directed by Jim Jarmusch. The soundtracks of the movie were given by Tom Waits. This is a collection of five stories that involves five cab drivers and passengers from five different cities that is LA, New York, Rome, Paris and Helsinki. Directed by one of my personal favourites, Jim Jarmusch, Night on Earth is a film of many parts and locations. Set in five different places around the globe (Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Rome, and Helsinki) on one night, the film features five different taxi journeys and focuses on the relationships between the respective driver and their passenger/s.
