Ocean's Thirteen (DVD)

They say three days in Vegas is long enough. Anyone who has been there will agree with that sentiment. But are three of these films enough? Oceans Eleven was the best fun, a sharp and slick operation to accompany the likewise cast and narrative. Oceans Twelve was the inevitable perfunctory sequel everyone would rent and so little effort required, always making its money back and more. And Oceans Thirteen? I think the best thing about the Ocean's trilogy has to be the chemistry between the two lead characters. Brad Pitt & George Clooney really look like they are enjoying themselves throughout the film and look like they really get on. The rest of the cast is fantastic too and each and every one of them brings in their own little vibe to the film. I have been a fan of Ocean's Eleven since it came out. It was funny, smart and was amazing how they managed to trick not only the person they were heisting but the audience as well. Oceans 13 is the third in the Oceans series directed by Steven Soderbergh (Oceans 11 and Oceans 12 being the first two). Most of the actors from the first two series make a reappearance with the exception of Julia Roberts. And so we see George Clooney and Brad Pitt reunite again with their team of conmen to get to work. Yet another film. This one is Ocean 13. The team moves back to Las Vegas. There Ocean's main sponsor Reuben Tishkoff (Elliott Gould) suffers heart attack. The doctor tells Ocean and the team that Ruben will only survive if he has something to live for. So Ocean 13 set out to ruin the catalyst to the heart attack Willy Bank (Al Pacino) who has acquired Rubens hotel.
