The actors are just having too good a time (Ocean's Twelve (DVD))

Advantages: Good plot, very easy and entertaining viewing

Disadvantages: Half-a***** acting

Unfortunately, this sequel did to live up to the highs of Ocean's Eleven for me. Though money will most certainly have had a part in the reasons behind this sequel, as reported by the press and Clooney and Pitt in particular, the main reason for making this film was that they enjoyed making the first one so much.

This may sound like a far better reason than money but unfortunately I think it is this that really let this film down. The acting does not feel to be that fantastic given the cast, which is annoying. This is because they don't seem to try very hard to get into their roles and most of the time I felt that their minds weren't really focussed on the job- making a good film!

This aside, the sequel does not suffer from a bad plot which can be expected in some sequels, rather the plot is fun and has its little gimmicks in the same way the first film did. I'm not sure that I would recommend renting this film, but if it come on the tv and you liked the first one, then it is definitely worth an evening's watch.

Summary: Probably don't bother renting this
