Advantages: Quite humorous

Disadvantages: Fairly pointless

Having thoroughly enjoyed Step Brothers, I set out on a mission to watch more Will Ferrell films - the first I chose was Old School, a film originally released in 2003, also starring Luke Wilson and Vince Vaughan. The three of them have women troubles, even at the beginning when Frank (Will Ferrell) is due to get married.

He resists the whispers of his friend at the wedding and goes ahead with the marriage but soon hits a wall as he infuriates his wife by revving up his car whilst rocking out to Whitesnake, they seem to be on a different wavelength. Meanwhile Mitch Martin (Luke Wilson) leaves his wife as he discovers she likes to have multiple partners at the same time and rents a house near the local college. They soon decide to set up a communion and kick it off with the craziest of parties - Snoop Dogg even turns up! Frank had a reputation in his youth as a beer bong champion and was dubbed Frank the Tank.. this sees him kicked out and doing more!

The film is light-entertainment, with some swearing and nudity but a lot of relatively funny scenes, it's fairly pointless but what the hell - it's a weekend! It's no way as good as Step Brothers but it got me laughing a few times. I do not have the DVD but have heard that some pretty good material was cut out.

Summary: A nice light laugh
