People usually associate Samuel L Jackson with the fast talking and hard hitting roles he has dominated over the past couple of decades. However, he also has a few gems to add to his list, and this is one of them. Jackson plays a schoolteacher who is relocated following an attack by a student. Examining the bullying aspect with the teacher being the target takes the film into an intriguing setup, and Jackson's turn as a teacher under immense pressure and apparent mental instability is excellent. Oh I love this film. It stars the wonderful Samuel L Jackson in one of his more thoughtful roles as a teacher who has started a new job in a new location after re-locating to another area following being attacked by a student. One eight seven is one of those films that barely any has seen. Which is suprising for a Samuel L Jackson film. As usual he gives a great performance and strangely enough this film did not get rave reviews. Maybe it might just be me, but it is one of m favourite films and the type of film I love. He gives an intense performance as a high school teacher who is in a terrifying school and is unfortunately stabbed. It takes him a long time to recover, but he comes back as a substitute teacher to another school with serious problems. This film shows what it is like for teachers and that even a good teacher can go bad like everyone else. The rest of this film is ... Read the complete review
