Advantages: Very, very funny

Disadvantages: None

In what is a special feature length episode of the nations favourite comedy, 'Dates' really showcases the comedic talents of the producers, writers and actors of 'Only Fools and Horses'. Love is the order of the day here, but as well all know from past episodes, love does not come easy to Del and Rodney Trotter.

Many will be familiar with this episode for being the one where Del first meets his future 'significant other' Raquel. The method for doing this was through a dating agency recommended to him by Trigger, hence the name of the episode. Trigger also manages to get a sucessful date out of the service, but sadly there are no scenes of what I am sure was an entertaining night out in the episode.

Classic lines are evidant throughout the episode with my particular favourite being in Derek's date agency interview where, when asked what he is looking for, he replied "well, a bird! She has got to be a bit of a sort thought", brilliant, just brilliant.

Racquel is actually first seen by Derek's friends in the episode as a stripper for Uncle Albert's birthday party in the Nags Head. Naturally Del, who has been telling anyone who will listen about her, is not best pleased but is sure to work out that he has strong feelings for her.

Del is not the only brother to have a date in this film. Hapless younger brother Rodney also takes out a young lady, called nervous Nerris. This all goes rather well until the police get involved, leading to the hilarious ending after a mis-undertanding between the female police officer and Del puts the relationship he has with Raquel in severe jeapordy.

I somehow think Del won't have seen the last of Raquel though.

Summary: Another classic special episode
