Its the one where we thought that it may never return to our screens ever again, the third part of a three part trilogy that was aired during Christmas 1996, it was also when I developed my love for Only Fools and Horses and became one of their biggest fans ever. I grew up with Only Fools and Horses, however during 1996, when it was nearly all finally over, I became to appreciate what an excellent sitcom this actually was. Packed full of loveable characters, in which we have seen some departs of some of the much loved characters over the years, Only Fools and Horses never failed to make me smile, the countless attempts and plain stupidity of their idea's in ... For me this was the episode which should have been the last time we saw the Trotter family on our screens as it would have marked a great ending to the long running comedy show that has graced our screens for so many years. This is one of those episodes that was shown as a three parter that fully encapsulates all that is great about Only Fools. It has its poignant moments where you feel like crying and then it has ts funny moments that have you crying with laughter and then it has the feel good factor that has you crying for joy. In fact there is a lot of crying. The Trotters are down on their luck as usual and Rodney and Cassandra are going through ... Read the complete review

The pinnacle of the series: 'Time on Our Hands' is the episode in which the Trotter brothers finally realise their dream to become millionaires. The quality of the script writing in this episode was truly outstanding. In the very first episode (transmitted in 1981) Del Boy was seen scolding Rodney for keeping accounts. In the final episode, it appears that Rodney's habit of keeping accounts (and thereby receipts) eighteen years previous was instrumental in allowing the sale of the antique watch: Raquel's father needed proof that the watch legally belonged to Del Boy and Rodney before it could be sold at auction. The reference to the very first ... Read the complete review

Whilst Only Fools and Horses did have its sad moments, it was largely one of the happiest shows on tv with lots of hillarious moments, this episode which was for some time thought to be the last one was part of a trilogy. Whilst the trilogy wasn't that amazing in comparison with older feature-lengths this episode Time On Our Hands is legendary and I think that the producers made a huge error by not finishing it here. For years, viewers had witnessed the ducking and diving undertaken by Del and Rodney and Del's promises of being a millionaire. When a watch of some value is found, it seems that it can all come true. This is both a sentimental and funny way to ... Read the complete review
