OUTNUMBERED ----------------------- Outnumbered is a partially improvised comedy about the problems encountered by parents in normal family life. It first aired on BBC in 2007 and after its success was released on DVD. The series is about a fairly normal family with two parents who are "outnumbered" by their three children. The programme portrays how parents cope with the awkward questions children can ask and what they try to do to control their children. The plot is basically about family life but it's done in a way to make it amusing. Characters ------------- *Pete Brockman* Pete if the father in ... Read the complete review

Outnumbered is a sitcom starring "that smarmy doctor bloke from My Hero" aka, I though that nothing could top My Family in the boring middle-class stakes but this goes right ahead and does it. There is next to know story line, when there is something happening it's painfully boring such as a child's first day at school or a dinner party. The supposed laughs come from the awkward questions asked and situations that the children get into and the ineptitude of the parents to deal with them. Outnumbered is a bbc comedy with Hugh Dennis, in which he plays the role of a History teacher, with an incredibly hectic home life. The members of the family include Ben, a hyperactive young boy who has a really bad habit of lieing. There is also Karen, a young girl with a vivid imagination of fairys, (just a shame she thinks they go round killing people. There is also Jake, a teenage boy at his first year in high school, wife Sue, who is wound up by her boss "Veronica" and granddad, who has memory loss problems. The series follows "Pete" (played by Hugh), not only as he has to deal with a very stressful homelife, but also as he must get around a ... Read the complete review

Having recently been shown on BBC, Outnumbered is back and this time on DVD. This programme revolves around the trials and tribulations of a family of fives daily lives from grandpa moving in with the family to arguing over the tv in the kitchen and much more. The series features Hugh Dennis (comedian off Mock the week) as the father, aswell as Claire Skinner (previously seen in Life Begins)as the mother. The child actors are perfectly cast and make it believable that this group of people are a real family. Outnumbered is a laugh out loud fast paced show that leaves you wanting more and more, which is handy as there is half a dozen episodes available for your viewing ... Read the complete review
