Outnumbered has a very simple underlying theme. It's basically a view into the life of two parents who are namely outnumbered by their three children. The show is in fact half improvised, most of which is given to the younger characters- Jake, 12, who in this series is suspected of having a girlfriend (Jo) by his Mum and Dad (Pete and Sue). Ben, the middle child, who continously tells lies and is a fan of Little Britain and Karen,6, a very inquisitive little girl who likes to ask lots of questions. Despite having an ardent dislike for the first series of this ponsy show, I decided to try to get into the second series, spurred on by the fact a dooyoo review would pay for some tele viewing. I didn't last all the way through it and Series 2 only emphasised by hatred for this acclaimed comedy. The mother is infuriating, the story lines are what you'd expect to find in a sit com with everyday things taking place as well as bigger events like weddings and hospital visits.
