Advantages: A cheery, teary romantic comedy for a relaxing evening Disadvantages: Little bit too predictable?! Prehaps after watching Hilary Swank in 'Million dollar Baby', I've get used to seeing her in a more masculine role. Although I'm a huge chick flick fan, I was hesistant to watch this film maybe for that reason. Starring opposite Gerard Butler was a bit odd but I was pleasantly surprise to see what a couple they made even though it was only briefly at the beginning of the film. I think it is one of those film that really play it well from the novel which is not often the case. I think it is mainly due to the excellent acting performance from both Hilary that captivated my heart. This is definitely one of the best romance film for a while, the only thing that some might find it a bit predictable with the ending but hey, it is a chick flick afterall, it is suppose to be happily ever after! Summary: A story that one might be able to related to if not imagine to be |
