Advantages: Action packed

Disadvantages: Not much that I can think of

Harrison Ford stars in this excellent action thriller as Jack Ryan a CIA analyst who has a superb strategic mind but is y no means a seasoned field operative, while on a combined business trip and holiday with his wife (Anne Archer) and young daughter he intervenes in an IRA splinter groups assasination attempt on a member of the Royal Family and shoots dead one of the terrorists while another, the dead mans brother played by Sean Bean, is captured.

When Beans' character escapes from the police he seeks out revenge on Ryan who has returned to America with his family and the two enter into a dangerous game of cat and mouse with some ery high stakes involved.

This is an excellent film with an impressive cast. There are some very atmospheric senes being shot not least those set in Northern Ireland with the back drop of the haunting sounds of Enya providing the musical score.

Harrison is excellent in the role of Ryan, a man who is rather out of his comfort zone but is able to utilise the considerabel intelligence gatherig capability of the CIA to support him.

This is an action packed film and very entertining to watch and I reckon Ihave seen it at least three times now and it continues to work really well.

Summary: Great film.
