This is a Happy Gilmore film which is owned by Adam Sandler and produced by Adam Sandler too. I have been wanting to watch this film since it was advertised but have never had the time to go and see it. So last night visiting my local Asda store I picked it up. Myself and my partner did need a laugh. Usually when you see something advertised they show you the best bits so the rest of the film can be quite dissapointing. This is not the case with this film. Storyline This film is about a man who wanted to be in the police force but has hypoglycemia which is a condition that makes him pass out due to sugar loss in his system ... Read the complete review

Looking for a bit of a fun film amidst all the dramatic, action and rubbish that I have seen over the past week or so, this was one of the latest films I received from Lovefilm. The stupidity it promised appealed to my humourous side, and so it was with eager anticipation that I popped it in the DVD player. I suppose the biggest factor that made me like this film in the end, was the fact that it looked like the cast were enjoying themselves. It didn't try to do too much, but kept properly to the script of a mall security guard trying to save the day. Kevin James plays Paul Blart, the guard who has always wanted to be a state trooper .... but has always failed ... Read the complete review

Synopsis Mall Cop is about a security guard who has delusions of grandeur. He wants to join the state troopers, but fails the assault course because his hypoglycaemia makes him collapse. Paul is a chucky, overweight guy, whose lack of a love life seems to be of more concern to his mother and daughter, than to Paul himself. Because he has his eyes on Amy, who's recently set up a stall in the middle of the mall. On Black Friday, which is the busiest year of the shopping calendar a gang of thieves, armed with a gun and skateboards enters the mall and take 6 people hostage, one of whom is Amy. Paul is determined to protect the ... Read the complete review

I've found it increasingly difficult to find entertaining comedies to watch in the last few weeks, and I would never have expected to walk out of Blockbuster sheepishly holding a copy of the Steve Carr directed 'Paul Blart: Mall Cop'. Blart (played by Kevin James) is an overweight and awkward security guard who works at the local mall. As a police-force reject, our eponymous 'hero' lacks the respect of both his collegues and the shoppers who inhabit the busy shopping centre where he spends his days. That all changes however, when a gang of criminals stage an ambitious robbery involving multiple hostages. Blart suddenly finds himself with a chance to prove his ... Read the complete review
