When Trevor McKinney is asked to 'change the world' as a school assignment he comes up with a plan, he figures that if he helps three people, each one of them will help three more people making a pyramid of good deeds that in theory should create world peace. Little does Trevor know that his theory will force him to face his fear of abandonment and get to grips with his abusive and often absent father. Arlene McKinney is slipping faster and faster into a deadly addiction to alcohol, as a single mother working two jobs she has no way to take a break. The world is not a nice place for most of us. The scariest thing is the fact that most of us just accept that it is dangerous and live with it. In a perfect world a young lady would be able to enjoy a leisurely walk home from a friends house and enjoy the fresh summer night?s air. In reality, any woman that would walk the length of a street on her own at night must be out of her mind. In a perfect world your Gran would be able to leave her door unlocked so that she doesn?t have to keep getting up to answer the door. In reality, our elderly live behind barricaded doors with four or five locks and bolts on them. If you are a guy, you have to watch how you look at ... Read the complete review

Simple, pay it forward. The object or desire to create utopia, a perfect world or even an environment where a good deed is paid threefold, in order to fulfil ones obligations to make the world a better place. Sounds like some kind of Christian Science? I don’t think so, maybe it sounds like network marketing, or pyramid selling then? Again, I don’t think so. ... Read the complete review

After a decent start to his career, Haley Joel Osmont has kept something of a low profile. The Sixth Sense ensured him rave reviews, but its his low key efforts since that have cemented his reputation as a robust child actor approaching adolescence. Osmont stars as Trevor who starts a new school year in seventh grade. He and his class are challenged by their soft but firm teacher to do something that will change the world. When Trevor comes up with the idea to do something good for three people then have them pay the favour forward to three more people, a nationwide movement begins. Unbeknown to Trevor, distraught by his own failure's, people across the ... Read the complete review

This is one of those movies that is both enjoyable to watch and can prompt you onto better things, if you hear the message. When a young reporter, whose vehicle has been damaged, is given the keys to a Jaguar by a man who walks away only with the admonishment to "pay it forward", he sets out to follow the trail of the concept back to find out where it began ... Trevor (Haley Joel Osment) is a serious child, a product of an abusive double-alcoholic relationship, trying desperately to keep his mother off of the dreaded bottle and hoping his absent father will not return. When a new teacher (Kevin Spacey) sets his social studies class an ... Read the complete review
