Series four of the channel four sitcom starts where it left off... Mark has doubts about marrying Sophie and Jez is still searching for that ever elusive recording contract.

This series just seems to go from strength to strength. The storylines employed in series four border on the outright bizzarre and sometimes disgusting. There is one particular scene in episode six which actually made me shudder. I won't ruin the plot but it put me off my dinner.

As with all previous series, there are six episodes in series four which culminate in Mark and Sophies wedding in the final episode. There are more than a few twists and turns along the way and fans of the show will not be disappointed.

As always, the cast are excellent, David Mitchell and Robert Webb are completely convincing as Mark and Jeremy. I've recently been told that channel four wanted to cancel the show after series three was broadcast but changed their minds due to the amount of dvds that were sold. If they ever considered cancelling this show again, I would beg them to reconsider, its one of the best things on TV.

Summary: Excellent british comedy.
