After a faltering season 4, Peep Show is back with their best ever series, powered mainly by quirky new characters Dobby, a female office worker who gives Mark a run for his money in terms of oddity. For those who don't know the show, it focuses on Mark and Jez, two flat-mates who couldn't be more different. Whilst Mark is a shy office worker, Jez is a drug using rebel: the juxtaposition of two completely different characters leads to many comic moments. Whereas the last series had a pretty weak storyline for Mark and a strong one for Jez, this one is vice versa. The weird girl Dobby is breath of fresh air in the show, and offers a whole host of comic ... Read the complete review

I recently raced through back to back episodes of Peep Show in an attempt to catch up on a comedy that I hadn't been aware of until recently. I accidentally thought that there was a Series 6 out already otherwise I would have savoured this one instead of watched the whole series in two sittings! That itself is probably a good enough example of just how catchy this show is and how at home the viewer feels with the entertaining duo. Series 4 avoided staleness by throwing in a handful of new characters, in particular Sophie's family members. Series 5 sees the return of Johnson, Sophie and Jeff alongside the addition to a new Aussie flat mate, the attractive new ... Read the complete review

I first got into Peep Show on about series 2 or 3 and have pretty much seen it all now at least once. For those who don't know (and shouldn't you be reading a review of the first not fifth series then?) it's a fantastic simple premise brilliantly executed: Mark (David Mitchell) and Jeremy (Robert Webb) are polar-opposite flatmates. Mark the timid company man whose life is spent regretting his own permanently repressed state and wishing he possessed just a smidgeon of cool. Jeremy is an unreasonably self-confident failed/failing musician who thinks he's cool and refuses to do any real work to fund his unmusical follies. Throughout the series we get to hear ... Peep show is one of the funniest series on tv in my opinion. It follows mark and jeremy, who are david mitchell and robert webb. Their lives revolve around awful jobs, unemployment, failed marriages, and falling in love. They are the 2 most awkward people ever, the filming is through either one of their eyes, and the speech often goes into their thoughts which is hilarious. In this series they are reflecting on their failed marriage, and jeremy still doesnt have a job. They make a christian rock band which is probably the funniest part of the series. Theres some great sarcasm from the characters at marks work. Sophie who was ... Read the complete review

Peep Show - Series 5 With Marks marriage in tatters, he begins his search for the one, by going on a date with a girl from IT in his office, however it ends badly when he bumps into sophie in a toilet. Mark also meets a woman speed dating, whom he ends up living with. Hew also ends up evicting Jez for not paying rent, when he refuses to get a job. When Jez's auntie dies, he is due to inhert £20,000, hich will 'make him a millionaire', however there is comlications with this, and Jez's extremely poor relationship with his mother is revaled. Mark however gets on superbly with her and her partner and ends up being given the job of writing his military ... Read the complete review
