Advantages: fantastic story line

The Pet Sematary story continues with the dead rising, but with the demise of the Creeds we are introduced to some new characters. When Jeff Matthews’ (Edward Furlong) mother Renee (Darlanne Fluegel) is killed in a freak accident he moves with his father (Anthony Edwards) to Ludlow Maine.

At his new school Jeff falls foul of the local bully, and makes his only friend, Drew Gilbert the stepson of the local sheriff. Things start to go really wrong when Drew's dog Zowie is shot by his stepfather, Drew who knew about the Creeds story decides that he should bury him in the Indian Burying ground beyond the Pet Sematary. Its not long before Zowie comes back and with shocking results things get worse.

AS I said above this is my favourite Stephen King adaptation, it keeps the qualities that made the 1st one so good. Unlike a lot of horror sequels it reMembers that the 1st story actually happened with numerous references; from Creed digging up his soon to the dead cells taken from the living reanimated pets. One of the best performances from Furlong with only Terminator 2 and American History X being better.

Summary: another fantastic Stephen King adaptation
