I watched this DVD today and I was flooded with fond memories from my childhood. While I did not really get lost into this film like I did during the good old times when my imagination had no limit, I have to say that I quite enjoyed it nonetheless. Of course this is aimed at a children's audience so I overlooked the very unrealistic elements depicted all throughout. In fact, my niece loves this film especially because of these unrealistic elements, while I personally love it because it is just amazing for me to watch Peter Pan as one of the most different and original Disney heroes ever. Plot: Wendy and her two little brothers are obsssed with ... Read the complete review

Peter Pan is another Disney film which I missed out on as a child so me and hubby bought ourselves the DVD, we are claming that we bought it for the boys but in reality it was for us! The start of the film introduces us to Wendy, Michael and John Darling who live in London and love stories. Wendy is always telling her younger brother stories about Peter Pan who is a boy who never grew up and lives in Never Land. Peter quite often comes and sits on the roof of the children's house to listen to Wendy's stories. Wendy's father does not like the stories which she makes up and decides it is time for her to move out of the nursery and into her own bedroom and to ... Read the complete review

When considering what ingredients should go into a movie to make the ideal children?s fantasy, action flick, I guess sword fights, pirates, mermaids and a whole vista of special effects would be high on the list. INTRODUCTION Without a Harry Potter film released this year, we were set to miss our big family trip to the cinema, with a meal at a restaurant first. My two eldest children are away for Christmas, but hubby and I wanted to take the youngest two somewhere. We saw a TV interview with Richard Briers and decided that the new version of Peter Pan would be a good enough film to see – obviously inferior to the Potter franchise, but adequate to pass a few hours and treat the kids prior to New Year. By the time we had got served in the restaurant and then in the long queues at the cinema, we ended up sitting in the very front row. Expecting a couple of ... Read the complete review

Peter Pan is such a lovely, enduring story; who at one point in their life or another has never thought they would like never to get any older! And if there's one film maker who can really capture the child-likeness and the refusal to grow up, it's Walt Disney. With such a great story as this of J.M.Barrie, it's hard to go wrong, but Disney's version of the tale, released in 1953, is so beautiful and colourful, it really is enchanting to people of all ages. The Plot Okay, so most people know the plot, I'm sure, but just in case... We join the story in the nursery of the Darling children as their parents prepare for a night out. The children are ...
