Advantages: Fairy tale for the whole family

Disadvantages: I don't think it is long enough

I never saw Walt Disney's Peter Pan when i was little and everyone has said that i have missed out. So for my 17th birthday i asked for a few Walt Disney films and got Peter Pan! and loved it.

Based on the book by J.M.Barrie, this film follows the adventures of Peter Pan, the boy who nevers wants to grow up, Wendy Darling and her two brothers Micheal and John, The lost Boys, Tinkerbell and the terrifying Captain Hook and his crew of pirates.

They travel to the magical world of Never Land, the only way to get there is by fairy dust and going to the second star to the right and straight on 'till morning. Here they will explore the amazing world, meet new people and creatures, have fun adventures and even get into sword fights!

Made in 1953 this film is only 77minutes long, which is just enough to hold the attention of a child. It holds the voices of; Bobby Driscoll as Peter Pan, Kathryn Beaumont as Wendy Darling, Hans Conreid as Captain Hook and Mr Darling, Heather Angel as Mrs Darling and Bill Thompson as Mr Smee.

This dvd has new digital restoration so the picture is better quality than of a video. The characters come to life in this fantasy film of the boy who doesn't want to grow up. I love the idea of there being a place like Never Land and being able to make believe and have magical creatures! After watching this i certainly believe in fairy's and im sure you and your children will too! This film will have you laughing and the action will leave you wanting more. In my opinion this is one of the best Walt Disney films ever made and will be around for a very long time!
