At first it feels like it's setting up to be a typical giallo, as it initially hides the killer's identity and throws suspicion on other characters. A review of the Shameless Screen Entertainment DVD release, which costs £6 on amazon. This is a strange but pretty bad Italian horror movie from 1988. It's directed by Ruggero Deodato, which was what made me check it out. Deodato also directed the unbelievably brutal Cannibal Holocaust, one of the few films that still shocks on repeat viewings - it's not an ethical or pleasant film, but it's extremely well made for what it is, and made me curious as to what else the director had done. An important word about Shameless A week ago I read the most wonderful words, Shameless Films (or Shameless Screen Entertainment). While flicking through the pages of sleazy magazine DVD World I noticed a couple of DVD's listed with Shameless as the realising company, initially assuming they were a US company. Having engaged brain a little more I discovered that Shameless were very much a UK based company focused with releasing the movies that nobody else has the guts to.
