This film seems to be getting really bad reviews, so I think I need to help it out! The film pineapple express is, in my opinion, on of the best comedies of 2008.

The film starts in black and white, with Private Miller (played by Bill hader), being asked for his opinions on item 9 (marijuana). After the discussion, it is made illegal, and we are brought to present day.

We are then introduced to Dale Denton (Seth Rogen), a process server who likes to smoke weed. Dale then goes to his dealers house, Saul (James Franco), and is introduced to Pineapple Express, a rare strain of weed.

Dale stays with Saul for a while, and then has to leave to serve a man named Ted Jones. We find out that Ted Jones is the name of the supplier of pineapple express. When he arrives at Ted Jones' house, a cop goes into the house before him. He watches them enter, and witnesses a murder by Tod Jones and the cop. Dale drives off after throwing a spliff out of the window contaning pineapple express; and this is when the film gets going.

The way they characters interact with each other is so real and the humour is amazing. The film is self confessed to be a "bromance", and that's what it is. The fighthing in the film is absolutely brilliant and really cleverly done. James Franco is great in this film, and have not really seen him in any films other than the spiderman series.

I cannot really give this movie justice; just go watch it and see if you enjoy it as much as I did.
