... much. The animation is very old school and has a certain charm about it. It didn't put my son off, but I was kind of thinking I wanted Pixar back! The best thing about it was definitely the music; the theatrical orchestrated score infused it with energy and passion in a way that I loved. So I am one of those people who've never seen this film, and watched it for the first time with my two year old this week. It tells the story of a puppet that is made into a real boy and given a conscience to keep him on the straight and narrow. However, he soon falls into mischief and gets into a right mess. From the beginning song of Wish upon a Star, this Disney animation of Pinocchio keeps your attention. Your heart goes out to Geppepo when Pinocchio gets involved with bad company every parent empathises with him. Jimminy Cricket is Pinocchio's conscience and a hard job he's got. The animations are wonderful. The scene when Pinocchio and his friend turn in to mules sends out a warning to all naughty children. The songs are brilliant my personal favourite being the opening song of Wish upon a Star.
