It can be fun sometimes to take a wander through a famous director's back catalogue and see the kind of trash they churned out before hitting the big time. On the rare occassion you'll come across a Spielberg hitting the silver screen with a superb movie like Duel, but other times you come across the likes of James Cameron and his debut "Piranha 2: The Spawning" which must surely go down as one of the worst movies ever made. In fairness you can't lay the full blame upon Cameron's doorstep because it seems that he wasn't saddled with a movie holding much potential in the first place. James Cameron's second film and you wouldn't know it, wow must he have a fast learning curve. At least the first film had its tongue planted firmly in its cheek and is half decent, this is just pure crap. Basically a sunken US supply ship off a Caribbean island resort is the focus for a series of mysterious piranha attacks. This ship was a military testing ship and the piranha are a new weapon.
