Advantages: swashbuckling pirate adventure with a hint of romance & good effects

Disadvantages: the double-crossing going on is abit confusing at times

Captain Jack Sparrow is back and this time, he's as brilliant as ever, albeit a little crazy. If you loved both the pirates movies but never thought the second one was as good as the first, be prepared because At World's End is an amazing finale to the famous swashbuckling trilogy.

The film is three hours long but is well worth it. The story revolves around bringing Jack Sparrow back from the dead and defeating the East India Trade Company with each person having their own individual motives, agendas and intentions, it seems like all the characters are against each other and one story soon replaces another.

What is refreshing about this film compared to the second was the different styles in which it is filmed, showing Jack's conscious and subconscious figures and the crew physically bringing back Jack from Davy Jones' Locker and the journey back, it's all pretty mind boggling and a lot to take in but it stretches the imagination - and it works.

The scenes in Singapore make a nice change to the usual Carribean islands we've seen in the first two films and adds some culture to the film.

One disadvantage to the film is that there is a lot of 'double-crossing' which can be a bit confusing.

It seems that in this world anyone can come back from the dead. I for one am sad to see this is the end of Pirates of the Carribean, one things for sure, the legendary character of Captain Jack Sparrow will never be forgotten.

I won't say too much, go see it for yourself and prepare for action adventure and a barrel of laughs.

Summary: Better than the 2nd film! Spectacular - go see!
