Advantages: Depp is lush

Disadvantages: Not as good as the others

Once again the crew of the Black Pearl set sail with Johnny Depp taking the lead role, first off he must be rescued from the land of the dead.

The basic plot revolves around a plot between Davy Jones (Bill Nighy) and Lord Beckett to rid the seas of all the pirates.

I must admit apart frm a crush on Depp these films do not hld out a great deal of attraction for me, they ae enjoyable romps with lots of over acting from the lead characters and there are a few in joks now that the whle franchise has become really successful.

Overall I found this film slightly disappointing, it was not as entertaining as the previous films and fell short both on the quality of the plot and in the levels of humour compared with the other films.

Depp himself is still wonderfully funny in the lead role and those around him do a good suporting role however the film itself lacked the innovative approach of the first film and this is probably due to the fact that as a viewer I knew what to expect, there are no shocks or surprises anymore.
