Advantages: Brilliant film + excellent extras!!!

Disadvantages: None that I've found

I enjoyed this film so much when it was first released int he cinema that I went to see it twice on consecutive days! This film has the perfect formula for summer blockbuster and something that can appeal to everyone - pirates, damsel in distrss, good action, swashbucklin' adventure, special effects, superb storyline and of course, Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp.
The DVD is just as good (but on a smaller screen obviously!!!) and is packed with extras to make it even better. My favourite extra is the blooper reel which, unusually for a DVD extra, is actually surprisingly funny! Other extras include filming on set and the story behind the film creation. It also has, for those with a PC, a feature where you can put yourself under the curse of the black pearl. Gimmicky but worth it!
The story line is so original and different that people of all ages will want to watch it again and again making a good investment for those rainy holidays!
