This is definately one of my favourite films. It has the right mix of action and comedy. Johnny Depp does an excellent job as Captain Jack Sparrow and is well supported by Orlando Bloom as Will Turner and Kiera Knightly as Elizabeth Swann.

The Film starts with Captain Jack arriving in Port Royal after losing his ship to his first mate Barbossa who instigated a mutiny. Upon trying to comandeer a ship, he sees the Governers daughter, Elizabeth fall into the sea. He leaps into the sea to save her and when they are both returned to dry land he is arrested for being a pirate. At the time Elizabeth was wearing pirate gold and when it touched the water it sent a message to the pirates aboard the Black Pearl alerting them of its presence.

they soon arrive to take the gold back, using cannons and taking down anybody in their way. They find Elizabeth still wearing the gold and take her back to the ship along with it.

Elizabeth's childhood friend Will Turner (Bloom) sets out to rescue her with the help of Captain Jack, however Jack has his own agenda.....
