It's New Year's Eve and a luxury ocean liner is hit by a rogue wave and subsequently capsizes. The passengers are instructed to stay within the large ballroom that is currently forming a large air bubble which they are told will keep the ship afloat until help arrives. Dylan Johns doesn't feel confident with this and decides the best chance of survival is to make his way up to the bottom of the boat to escape via the holes where the ships propellers are. Poseidon is the 2006 remake of The Poseidon Adventure (1972). Directed by Wolfgang Peterson, it is a straight remake and well made action film. The Plot The luxury liner 'Poseidon' is swamped by a huge wave and overturns. The majority of the survivors stay in the main hall of the liner while a small group make a bid to get to the surface. This is a review of the film only. I watched this film recently without hoping for much as I knew it had been released the previous year and had never got round to watching it as it wasn't one that I thought would be up to much! I wish I had watched it sooner now as I thought the film was of high quality with a good mix of special effects, actors and action.
