Praan Jaye Par Shaan Na Jaye was released in 2003 and starred a multitude of Bollywood stars; some well known and mainstream and some not so well known. Praan Jaye Par Shaan Na Jaye is a story of residents of a Mumbai tenement (called a chawl in Hindi) which consists of approximately 50 families. The landowner decides he wants the residents out as he wants to build on the land and although the residents resist the crafty landowner has plans of his own to get them all out.
