Advantages: Richard Gere!, Everything!
Disadvantages: None
I was over the moon when I realised my night wouldn’t consist of watching soaps, cleaning up and then going to bed!! No…Pretty Woman was going to be shown on television…I grabbed some choccies, a glass of wine and sat waiting for the fairytale movie to begin! And what a great night it was, apart from the ITV News pushing in at 10.30-11p.m. (half way through the film)!

~*Overview*~
A handsome businessman pulls up in his Lotus and a hooker strides over to his car, hoping for work. It turns out that Edward only wants directions to his hotel and Vivien agrees to show him..for a price. She then ends up spending the night with him (for $300) in his penthouse and the morning after he has a proposal for her: to pose as his girlfriend for a week...for $3,000! He also gives her a handful of cash to go and shop for new clothes.
When Vivien goes out shopping, she receives nasty comments from shop assistants in the Rodeo Drive Shop, who simply don’t think she has enough money to purchase anything in their shop! The day after, she goes back to them and rubs their noses in it, with numerous shopping bags!
Vivien is paid to accompany Edward to his social events; one of these include dinner with businessmen, of whom Edward is trying to buy their company. She has received prior training from the hotel manager, Barney, as she has never eaten in a posh restaurant before. He shows her which fork is for what dish etc. but she can’t remember and ends up twanging a snail across the room!
After the meal, they agree to sit and watch old films for the rest of the night. Edward disappears to the hotel lounge and Vivien goes to find him…where we see a heated moment and you can see they are going to fall in love along the way.
When the week is over he realises that they love each other, She on the other hand, wonders whether a straight life with him would be the answer to her dreams...Luckily, he comes back for her with a bunch of roses and wins her over…aww how romantic!
~*My Opinion*~
Julia Roberts and Richard Gere were made for this film…without them it wouldn’t be Pretty Woman!! I absolutely love this movie and I think it is one of the best films I remember from my childhood! Me and my sister must have watched it about 10 times in one day! The storyline is great and it would be every woman’s dream to have somebody sweep you off your feet (especially if the person was a millionaire!)

- 28/01/05 sorry for the rating. try not to spoil the ending, also you need more opinion and less plot and cast information.

- 27/01/05 Hi there - I'm sorry about the rating, but for me all reviews that give away the plot are not useful as they can spoil the potential enjoyment or prevent people from wanting to see a film.
