Advantages: Its Prisoner - on DVD

Disadvantages: Not Enough Lizzie Birdsworth

I was so happy when this came out a few years ago, having missed it since I used to watch it on a regular basis when studying for my A Levels (not the best idea you might think). Went into HMV and there it was in all its demim glory, this product features three discs, each focusing on a praticular period of the series:

Disc 1 - The Early Days
Disc 2 - The Ballinger Seige
Disc 3 - Lou Kellys Riot and The End

It was ofcourse great to see Prisoner back but one thing I would complain about it that 2/3 of the DVD is devoted to the final years of the series, a period when it started to get a bit stale and story lines started to be repeated. There was lots of opportunity to select a period from the end and put it onto one disc and devote the first two to 'The Golden Years' - we are missing a lot of action from some of the shows much loved characters such as Bea Smith, Lizzie Birdsworth, Vera Bennett and Erica Davidson. I think alot of the focus on this DVD was to concentrate on The Ferguson years, which, are good yes, but dont be forgetting the 'old lags'

This is ofcourse fine, now that the whole series has been released on DVD

Summary: Worth Buying but Could have been better planned
