Advantages: Good Climax

Disadvantages: Lack of glamour, humour, and musical theme

Following the events and unimaginable scenario of a kidnapping in America / Mexico, the demands for ransom and the eventual attempt to retrieve, this movie tries very hard to get a storyline across.

It takes time but eventually it does entertain with a gripping SAS style finale, some emotional feeling and an air of suspense.

A big plus point is that it’s very realistic and probably not untypical of what actually happens in these kind of victimised circumstances.

It’s an unthinkable situation to believe and the film does provoke food for thought. Highlighting fairly well the ‘price of life’ let alone ‘proof of life’ that corrupt groups may place on political and financial gains. Frightening really.

Genuinely shot on location in some pretty ‘dodgy’ areas, I understand, somehow though, the lack of glamour, humour, and musical background will fail to give the film a real reputation as anything significant. I’ve seen worse though.
