Advantages: Great film

Disadvantages: Not good for the heart

Forty years on and Psycho still gets people talking about the shower scene which will forever be associated with Hitchcock's Psycho.

In the opening scene there is no hint of what is to come as a young lady drives away with the boss' money and arrives at the Bates Motel.

Norman, the proprietor, seems to be a bit spooky but you put that down to the loneliness of the place rather than to him.

With his lean frame Anthony Perkins is the ideal person to play Norman Bates and seeing him in other films your thoughts cannot help but turn to Psycho

Finally, did you see Alfred Hitchcock at the beginning?
