This sitcom follows the exploits of the surviving crew members of the spaceship Red Dwarf after a radiation leak caused the death of most of the crew. They travel through space trying to get back to earth but being waylaid by various adventures along the way. The dynamic between the characters is what works so well and makes this comedy so enjoyable. Rimmer is neurotic and status-obsessed and Lister is the lazy slob and the antithesis to everything the Rimmer stands for and believes in.
