Nonehteless, Chet thanks Mike by giving him the opportunity to teach the skill to more people though their are a heap of difficulties along the way if Mike is going to suceed with this venture. This film is a more grown up Karate Kid. I found the action to be quite sterile most of the time. David Mamet directs this martial arts movie released in 2008, REDBELT. The film centres on Chiwetel Ejiofor's character Mike Terry who owns a tiny ju-jitsu studio in Los Angeles. When he's not teaching ju-jitsu to his students, Mike is praticising it which means he has to avoid confrontation since ju-jitsu is about self defence not violence. However, when a freak accident involving EmilY Mortimer's character, Laura a lawyer and his student Joe goes wrong his business is put under scrutiny. Also he has to fight when Chet Frank played by Tim Allen is under threat during a bar brawl. In my youth I suffered from a condition that plagues many children today - a chronic lack of attention span. Over the first 12 years of my life I must have joined and left over 10 different societies from Cub Scouts, fencing, badminton, rugby, football, swimming and others.
