Advantages: Great Comedy, Great Actors, Similar Humour to American Pie
Disadvantages: Finished far too soon :-(
Having seen Road Trip and enjoying so much I thought I would write a review on it. The film is about Josh(Breckin Mayer) who has a long distance relationship with a girl named Tiffany is who is in Boston Machachuessets attending university while Josh is attending the University of Ithaca. Josh has been known Tiffany since he was a kid and they have always kept in touch via phone calls and also sending Video tapes to each other, Josh becomes rather suspicious when Tiffany doesnt return his calls and his friend E.L(Seann William Scott) advises him that its not strictly cheating if he sleeps with another girl because they are in a different state. Taking E.L's advice on board he buys a girls company at a student auction that E.L had organised. After Josh has bought this girl's company who is called Beth(played by Amy Smart). Beth suggests they go back to Josh's and make a "Home Movie" and Josh, rather shyly obliges. The next day the rest of the group discover that he has made a home movie and beg to watch the film only to discover the wrong video tape of Josh has been mistakenly mailed to Tiffany. This prompts Josh and his friends to go on a road trip. Because they dont have a car or money for flight they decide to ask this guy called Kyle(DJ Qualls)who is a bit of a geek. I think my favourite part later on is when they borrow a school bus from a blind school which I find hillarious but I will let you watch the film without divulging anymore information about it. Also I have not mentioned the actor Tom Green who is also in the film, he plays a charachter called Barry Manilow(great name eh?) and plays a very weird character in this film(trust me on this one!) Also starring in this film is a guy called Rubin(Paul Constanzo) and he is the brain of the group. Overall I thought the acting and the humour was great and I would recommend it to anybody who likes to watch films like American Pi
e as its that sort of humour in it. One final point, I dont think the "unseen and explicit" comment is really necessary for this film as there are not really any explicit scenes in this film. Extras Not a great deal of extra's on this DVD. The DVD contains: Deleted Scenes Eels Music Video Making of 2 Theatrical Trailers 4 Page booklet with production notes There isnt really that many in the way of deleted scenes on the DVD from memory although I cannot talk about the other features as I have not checked them out.
