 ... “my partner David Furnish…” I’ve no idea how accurate or otherwise some of the characterisations are, but I now find it difficult to watch the real Elton John or Gary Barlow without thinking of Matt Lucas’ portrayal! The real star, however, is Jamie Theakston – seven words I never thought I’d type! This was probably a real coup for Walliams and Lucas. Introduction --------------- Rock Profile was the program David Walliams and Matt Lucas made before they went on to world domination via the mega-popular “Little Britain”. The show ran for 26 episodes (two series of 13 episodes each) and was broadcast on the short-lived UK Play channel in 1999/2000. Although it could be very funny and showed off Lucas’ and Walliams’ eye for the absurd, it never attracted huge audiences.
