Having been such a huge fan of the Rocky franchise, I had to write a review about the most recent Rocky film, titled Rocky Balboa, which is hopefully the last film for such a great era. I was always such a huge fan of the films, excluding Rocky 5 which was just plain awful. Here we had a film about the struggling life of a semi professional uneducated boxer (Rocky) being given a chance to fight the world champion Apollo Creed. The story goes through his questing from being a nobody to someone who his now established himself as a great fighter, or the Italian Stallion. For some reason when I was a child I always use to watch the rocky films just for the training scenes, ... Read the complete review

Hubby decided that he was going to buy this the other day, and in the name of a good review, I decided that I would sit down and watch it with him, even though I was not really that interested in seeing this film. I have seen the other five Rocky films, and by the fifth was pleased that the story had ended. When it came out that this film was to be released, I have to admit that I was very wary of the same old storyline being re-told. You can buy this on Amazon, Ebay, Play.com and other online stores as well as in the shops. I saw this today on Amazon for the princely sum of £5 and as always my advice is to shop around before making your purchase, as ... Read the complete review

Rocky Balboa's (Sylvester Stallone) Final fight, Thirty years after his Rocky's first ever fight in the film ROCKY he has come out of retirement to fight his last ever fight. After Rocky retired he went to work in his Philly diner, and was always telling the locals story's about his glory days. Then Rocky's quiet world started to become not so quiet when the sports channel make a virtual fight, Rocky VS The current champion of the world Mason Dixon and rocky beats him in it. But Dixon decided to challenge Rocky to the real thing because he was annoyed about losing, Since Rocky is not one to back down he agrees to the fight. Most of the film is Rocky training for the ... I was a bit worried about watching this film as I'd heard there was no Adrian and also because it's so far on from the last Rocky I wasn't sure how they were going to pull this off! Much to my surprise this film was excellent with a great story and an even better ending! Rocky is trying to have a normal life and owns a restaurant where he entertains his guests with stories of his past fights. One night in the restaurant on the tv a computer simulated fight between Rocky and the current heavy weight champion of the world is shown and this encourages Rocky to get back into the ring. Stallone is truly excellent in this film and gives a very memorable last ... Read the complete review

I know what youre thinking. Another great Rocky film to add to my collection. The horrible truth however is that it is not any where near the quality which we have come to expect from the Rock series. I myself am a firm lover of the Rocky series. I could honestly watch them time and time and time again. However it is a worthy effort however the quality of everthing in the film unfortunately fall well behind the bar. We all know though what to expect from a Rocky film and if you dont you must have being living under a rock all of your life. Seriously! You can expect a deep message such as love or sadness being portrayed and on the opposite hard bravery and bare ... Read the complete review
