?The Rocky Horror Picture Show? is without a doubt my absolute favourite film of all time. This is mainly because Rocky is one of my most extreme and carefully nurtured obsessions, but it?s just so amazing that I?m always delighted to give myself over to absolute pleasure and do the Time Warp again. One of the many things that I adore about Rocky is everything that comes with it (meant in the politest possible manner). By this I mean that obviously it began as a stage show, then the film was released, the fan clubs started, the shadow casts were born, merchandise erupted onto the market and it just became the ... It?s astounding. Time is fleeting?..madness takes its toll. But listen closely?..oooops. I forgot where I was for a while there! Well anybody who knows me knows that I?m already crazy, so it will come as no surprise to them that I absolutely adore this DVD. Although numerically old enough to have discovered Rocky Horror when it first came out, I did not truly ?discover? it until it began its new circuit in the mid nineties. From the first time I saw the film on TV, I was hooked. Totally and utterly! I have had the video for at least 10 years, and have lost count of the number of live shows I have attended. However, the DVD version beats all the previous filmed ... Read the complete review

If you have not seen this film yet, you have not lived, and I command you to see it at once!!! The best way is still to go to the cinema or to the stage production, but a close second is this DVD release. I am talking about the 25th Anniversary double dvd boxset. You can find opinions of the film elsewhere on Ciao, suffice to say it is the strangest thing you will ever watch, but I think there is something in it to appeal to everyone. The story of the young couple Brad Majors and Janet Weiss (Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon) breaking down in the country and coming upon ‘a hunting house for rich weirdos’, is one many Ciao readers will be familiar ... Can there still be any virgins left? "Virgins" are, of course, people who have not yet seen the Rocky Horror (Picture) Show. On the off-chance that there might be one or two, a quick summary: The Rocky Horror Show was a (deep breath) sexy rock & roll musical comedy spoof horror sci-fi show created by Richard O'Brien. It transferred to film as The Rocky Horror Picture Show starring O'Brien himself, Tim Curry, Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon. Both the film and the stage show are constantly being shown to this day. Perhaps the most famous aspect of Rocky is that is the ultimate audience participation experience. Not just singing ... The rocky horror picture show, a musical comedy film, was released in 1975 and it now has the longest running theatrical release in film history. The film is based on the original stage show that first started in 1973. MTV and Sky Movies are planning a remake that will be released this year (2009) although Richard O'Brien didn't give them his blessing. The rocky horror picture show is rated 15 due to comedic nudity, one use of strong language and some minor violence and is 96 minutes long. Plot The narrator tells us the story of Brad and Janet who have just got engaged and want to travel from Denton to tell their old mentor of their news. On ... Read the complete review
