Well guys and girl I went yesterday to see Rush Hour 2 and I tell you this movie to brilliant. If you had a read my review on rush hour you’re going to love this one. First thing about Rush Hour 2 is that it walks all over the first one any day. That right in the past there hasn’t been many sequels available were beats its predecessor. This Movie does exactly that in a big way! It also has been along time where I’ve seen a whole cinema being packed out to the first row of the screen. The amount of people I saw was brilliant and they were really looking forward to this film. STORY LINE ------------------ Now Rush hour 2 start from where they left off and so that mean that Chief Inspector Lee of the Royal Hong Kong Police (Jackie Chan) and LAPD detective James Carter (Chris Tucker) have arrived in Hong Kong for their vacation. Whilst in Hong Kong Cater want to enjoy himself and meet the local people (women) and have some fun. But Inspector Lee is always on duty and has been taking Carter to the crime scenes by lying to him. On their way out to have some fun Inspector Lee get a call from his boss saying that there was two Translators in the American embassy that got killed in a bomb explosion. The Hong Kong police suspect the chief architect behind the blast Ricky Tan (John Lone), the elegant and cunning head of the Fu-Cang-Long Triad, the deadliest gang in China. So Lee decides to go to a Triads Bar place telling Carter that it’s a party. At this party Lee is looking for a lead to the bomber and tells Carter to wait by the Bar. As Lee go to investigate Carter sees someone in the club trying to do karaoke and was trying to sing to "Don't Stop 'Till You Get Enough". So Carter decides to teach the people in the room how to sing, so he get up and starts to sing in front of all these criminal gangsters. Carter encourages the Triad women to get up a
nd dance with him. Lee sees Carter doing thins and calls him over from the dancing area and tells him the truth. As you know how Carter makes a scene everywhere he goes, he gets to the stage tell the triads that he is a police officer. By telling everyone whom he was sparked off the bomber group, which includes hench-woman Hu Li (Zhang Ziyi). From the chase the group gets away from a hard packed action scene on scaffolding. Then Jackie has another lead to Ricky Tan and they head of to Heaven on Earth massage parlour. To Carter this place is heaven and when he found out that he could have a selection of women, he nearly fainted. They both are upstairs getting a full massage from the girl when Lee spots Ricky Tan. Lee tells Carter that he going to call for back up and that he shouldn’t do anything. But Carter has his own plans and says we don’t need for one person even though Carter is not aware of how many body guard follow with him. After getting into a lot of trouble and into a lot of fights they both get chucked out of the parlour. The are left naked in the middle of Hong Kong busiest Motorway. They head back to the police station to get some clothes on and when they get there they meet Secret Service of America. They are also on the case and explain that the two translators were actually under cover custom officers investigating a money smuggling ring that is producing and shipping millions counterfeit United States. 100 dollar bills. Whilst they are discussing this with inspector Lee a delivery person come into Lee office to give a parcel. Before this happened Carter and Lee had an argument and had left Carter in Lee office. But Carter remembered that he drop he passport at the massage parlour and decides to go back there without telling Lee. Not knowing that Carter left Lee head back to his office when suddenly an explosion happened and his whole room is completely destroyed. Lee belie
ved that Carter was in the room at the time of the explosion and is very sadden by the lost of his friend. He then gets a tip that Ricky Tan is having a boat party and that he should head over there. The American secret Service advice the Hong Kong polices to leave Ricky Tan alone. Ignoring this message Lee head to the boat. Mean while Carter is in search of the Beauty parlour and asking people on the streets where it is. On his journey he spots Ricky Tan and follows him to the boat party. From her they both get on the boats and meet up with each other and glad to see each other as well. On the boat Carter meets Isabella Molina (Roselyn Sanchez) and tries to chat up and then founds out that she is with Steven Reign (legendary actor/comedian Alan King). Lee is then called by Ricky Tan and explains to Lee that he is being set-up by his own people for the recent events on the two people in the American building. Ricky Tan and Lee has something in common and that is that Ricky Tan been Lee Father Police Partner. As they are discussing the case Hu Li (Zhang Ziyi) shoot Ricky Tan and he falls off the boat. I won’t give anymore of the story away because the actual plot starts from her and you will see Lee and Charter return to America to see what they can find out as they Carter believe that there next move will be their. From this point onwards you will find out more about Isabella Molina (Roselyn Sanchez) and you will see the double trouble ending up in Red Dragon Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Watch the guys try to find out where the money is being sent from and where they can find the printing plated for these fake 100-dollar bills. ACTOR / ACTRESS ----------------- JACKIE CHAN – Plays inspector Lee in the story and does really well. He action pack stuns really will have you amazed. He has put a lot of effort from the previous film and seems more relax and more
confident. This time Jackie has much more involvement and is really funny with some of the lines he comes out with. CHRIS TUCKER – Plays LAPD James Carter and I tell you he is so funny. All the gags that he comes out with will have you laughing for hours. I really do this his input along sided by Jackie are a truthfully brilliant double act. ZHANG ZIYI – Play a Hench woman to Rick Tan and does a really good job. She is more known in the Film Crouching Tiger Hidden dragon for her popularity role-played in that movies. He does not appear much in the films but when she does it worth the while. A really great martial art expert and given her more time in the movie would have shown her acting skills as well. ROSELYN SANCHEZ – Is a very beautiful woman who plays a corrupted under cover agent. She plays a brilliant role where she actually fancies Jackie and tries to get them involved. She did not have a large part to play but was well worth putting her in the movie. JOHN LONE – Plays Ricky Tan a big time Gangster whom used to be Inspector Lee Father Police Partner. He is the head of the Triad Group and is very well known in Hong Kong. His role was well panned out and the way he acts was well portrayed of a villain. ACTION ----------- There is plenty of action from the previous film from high fight in the scaffolding to jumping out of building. Jackie and the rest of the crew have worked really hard to make the action scene really work. Even the explosion of the building look really cool and the one in the police station was really believable. No complaints about the action but maybe some people would like of seen more of the martial arts in the film. OVERALL -------------- This movie is the best, OK I know I’m a bit of a fan but I was really impressed by this movie. Not many people are able to better there first film and the director must of though so m
any new ideas. I was laughing throughout the film and so was the rest of the audience. It has been some time to feel that time of atmosphere in ages and at the end of the film people appalled the movie. At the end of the film you will see the outtakes of were they made mistake and this shows you how much effort and fun they had to make this movie. Don’t take any credit away from the rest of the crew who did a brilliant job and is shown throughout the film. I really can’t wait till this movie comes out on DVD, as this is defiantly one to add to the collection. I review the first one on DVD and will be reviewing the second one when it comes out, so watch out for that opinion. I can’t fault this movie in any way and being an action comedy I love these time of movies. I would recommend this movie to you and advise you to go and watch it in the cinema. I hope you have enjoyed reading this :0) 10 OUT OF 10 WICKED! This movie is Rated 12 which I think is about right.
