Story Line
-------------

The story begin in china where Inspector Lee played by (Jackie Chan) is chasing a group of thief who are trying to ship out Chinese artefacts by sea. As Lee arrives on the seen you start to see the skill of marital art in the fight scene to get you going.

During this raid the villains get away from there and then Inspector Lee go to report his recovery to Consul Han played (Tzi Ma) of China. At this time there are celebrating the release of America over China.

Consul Han is also going to America to represent his country with his daughter Soo Yung played by (Julia Hsu).

Consul hand and Inspector Lee are very good friend and have always looked out for each other. Soo yung is also being taught how to fight by inspector Lee and also treats Lee as an uncle.

Then they introduction the LAPD officer James Carter (Chris Tucker) who is in a middle of explosive deal. But suddenly two police offer appear from the dinner and attempted to arrest the two people. The LAPD officer tried to tell the police to go away and whilst this happen the villain shot both police officer down and Carter then had to apprehend the crook. (James Carter was going to be in big trouble)

Time pass on and both Consul and his daughter are in America. One day his daughter was on her way to school when suddenly she was kidnapped by a group of crooks and two of the Consul body guards where killed at the time.

FBI heard about what happen and approached Consul Han to explain what happens. The FBI reassures Consul Han that they will get his daughter back but the Han want to call one of his officers from China Inspector Lee.

The FBI says that they don’t need any help from anyone but it was too late as he was already on his way on the plane.

The FBI had strongly be
lieve that this officer would get in their way so they call the LAPD to sent a member of their team to them a job.

Whilst the conversation was happening Carter walk in and The head of the department agreed to send someone as it was such a crap job.

He calls Carter into his office and appraises him for the performance over the recent incident that would have got him suspended and said that the FBI wanted him for a special case.

Hear this new he go to the FBI who tell to keep the officer from China away from the case. Carter got really angry and calls his office that laugh at him and said that if he doesn’t do it he would be suspended.

He picks the officer up and as you would expect they don’t get on and always down each other neck. With a lot of humour and action put together these two make the film a smash hit. Carter decides to solve the case him self.

Then after a wild goose chase with each other Inspector Lee reaches Consul Han and then from there they get a call from the kidnapper demanding 50 thousand dollars.

From here onwards it get better so if you’re going to watch it I’ll won’t spoil it for you.

What these two wacky people get together to solve the mystery of person they don’t know of except for that he is Chinese.

Far too much of the review focuses on every little nuance in the plot. Also I got to say i think it's a poor Chan film when compared to his early stuff. It takes an hour just to get into the first proper fight, what the hell is that all about
