Advantages: good humour and family fun
Disadvantages: not for Scrooges.
This is one of the ultimate films to give you a warm sickly feeling of the feel good factor at Christmas time.
A brilliant movie that is truly children and family orientated. Every year around the 3rd week in November I join forces with my sons and my best friend and we usually spend a whole day putting up lights and decorations for Christmas. Carols are played, cups of Ovaltine or coffee drunk(maybe a little wine this year), and to top off the day my sons sit in bed and watch this movie -Santa claus the Movie until they nod off.
Something is so magical in this film. The graphics are okay for the day. The acting believable, and the reindeers lovable. I can't wait until the film is shown on TV every year.
It is a pity that in this world wher children are pushed so hard at schools and violence is increasing against them that the simple childhood dream of Santa claus has to be squashed. Keep the children's magical dreams alive for they grow up to fast as it is.
Oh and I hope you have a nice Christmas and a happy one!

- 17/12/00 This is one of my favourite films - but can you believe no channel (terrestrial or digital) is showing this film! I think I have it on video somewhere (hopefully!) It has been released on American DVD, so hopefully it will be arriving in the UK here soon. |
