Saving Private Ryan is a war movie and was released in year 1998. Movie was directed and produced by Steven Spielberg. The writer of this movie is Robert Rodat. Movie was nominated for several Oscars and won 5 including best direction. Movie shows the insight into World War 2.

Star Cast:

John Miller is commanding American army and American army is struggling with German Army at Omaha Beach. John Miller is on rescue mission. His mission is to find and rescue James Ryan. He is the fourth son of Ryan family and his three brothers have been killed by German army. American army wants to save his life. John Miller assembles his team for mission and move to Neuville. Here they find one member of Charlie Company. He tells them that Baker and Charlie Company are on same rally point at Vierville.

After reaching rally point they got to know that Ryan is struggling against Germans in town of Ramelle. They arrive at Ramelle and fights with Germans. Many rangers have been killed. There he fined Ryan, a paratrooper destroying German unit. John tells him about his mission but Ryan wants to defend the bridge and refuses to go home. What happens next? Will they able to defend the bridge and town against Germans? Will Ryan survive the battle? To know all the answers watch "Saving Private Ryan".

This is the best war movie ever made. The battling scenes are really superb, especially the opening scene of the movie. This scene is very horrific, exciting and realistic. The special effects and cinematography are awesome. You can see people dying, cutting into pieces. Now coming to direction, as usual the direction of Steven Spielberg is awesome. He shows his real talent of direction in this movie. He makes you feel like a participant. The performances by Matt Damon and Tom Hanks are really impressive. Finally this movie shows a spirit and courage of soldier. I strongly recommend this movie because this is not just another war movie. Watch and feel the difference yourself.

Summary: Spielberg at his best
