This is what Scary movies should be like, great start to the Saw series (Saw (DVD))

Advantages: Scary, Gory and some nice twists

Disadvantages: Maybe too scary for some!

Saw is a fantastic horror film that will have you hiding behind the sofa. Two men wake up in a locked room both are chained to a pipe, they have no idea how they got there, their capturer uses mind games to try and turn the two men against each other and gives them gruesome ultimatums that seem to be their only chance of survival. The police are hunting their capturer who is a killer that seems to be picking his victims at random and is finding the most gruesome ways of killing them. The police are stuck until one victim manages to escape and offers the police an obscure clue to what the killers motives could possibly be......

A relatively unknow cast except for Danny Glover as Detective Tapp do a fantastic job in what is a really shocking film. I liked the way I thought I had the film figured out and knew what was going to happen until right at the end there was a twist I just didnt see.

One WARNING if scary movies give you nightmares dont watch this. Scary movies rarely bother me at all but this did freak me out a bit. Not enough to put me off Saw II & Saw III though!

Summary: Really well made film, this will make anyone cringe!
