... forehead. Had he over trimmed his eye-brows? In certain scenes I couldn't stop watching them change from shot to shot. He looked like a damn caveman! I thought he was the missing link in a few scenes. Wahlberg is a bad cop gone worse. The opening scene grabs you into Jigsaw and his world and won't let you go until the end credits roll to let you go. The way the movie returns to the scene of the 1st film is very nice indeed. This killer invisible gas that Jigsaw describes sounds like the Ebola Virus. This guy is a cancer patient...more

This is the second installment of the Saw films. The first shocked audiences, and impressed with its blend of horror and thriller, and was talked about because of its very clever twist at the end. Saw II (2005) takes the story onto a new level. The Plot Mastermind hostage taker/torturer Jigsaw is back. This time, it is the turn of Detective Eric Mathews to lead the investigation when a crime has signs of Jigsaw's involvement. And Mathews soon finds out he is personally involved as ...

Now, let's meet death... Probably like many of the horror movies you may have watched in which a group of people is chosen to be punished ...

Halloween has changed a lot since I was a child, and that was not that long ago. I rarely went out trick or treating and if I did it was being accompanied by a parent and only to some homes that we knew. Now it seems that the abundant commercialism of America has taken over and that the sight of gangly teenagers asking for cash is a given. I reckon that this is mostly media hype, but I do know one thing that you can guarantee will happen around Halloween since 2004 – the release of another title in the ‘Saw’ films. ‘Saw IV’ hits the cinemas this week and as homage I decided to finally sit down and watch ‘Saw II’. Could it live up to the first film that balanced gore ...
