Scar is a real disappointment; a soulless exercise in trying to up the nastiness stakes to cover up the obviously superficial plot. It's hard not to be disappointed with something that promised so much, even if you do accept that the promise was really only born of words on a DVD cover. Even fans of torture porn will find little to enjoy here, if 'enjoy' were ever an appropriate word.

A review of just the film, Scar was produced in 2007 but wasn't released in UK cinemas until 2008. Amazon lists the region 2 DVD release date for the normal version as June 2009. A 3D version was previously available on a limited basis but now appears to have been de-listed from online retailers' catalogues.
