Al Pacino plays Tony Montana in possilbly the best gangster film ever, its the story of a man who starts with nothing and gains every thing using drugs as a way to fortune. I think that the moral to this film is that money isnt everything and that you never live long as a drug dealing gangster. What goes up must come down: When tony has reached his dream, to be rich, he realizes he has had a spot of terrible luck and killed his best friend Manny, screwed over his biggest cocaine supplier and had his wife walk out on him. His supply sends a group of his best soldiers to take tony out of business for good. some years later now they have made a video game ... Read the complete review

Scarface" is a film experience like no other. Based on Howard Hawks' 1932 classic, this update became a classic in its own right. The "Unholy Three" that created the film are Brian DePalma (director), Oliver Stone (screenwriter) and Al Pacino (actor). Back in the early 1980's Oliver Stone was approached by producer Martin Bregman about writing an update of the original film. Oliver Stone was at the time, in the last stages of detox for an addiction to cocaine. "I'll kill a Communist for fun. But for a green card, I'ma carve him up real nice." --Tony Montana There's a reason why Scarface has become so popular within today's society, since appearing in cinemas way back in 1983. What, with the countless images of "Pop Art" on sale in stores, the consistently bad imitations within Hip-Hop music skits, and the foul mouthed action figures as "a want" on a majority of young children's Christmas lists, one must surely give the credit to Al Pacino's tearing performance as being probably the most notorious cinema gangster of all time. Tony Montana (Pacino) ... Read the complete review

Directed by Brian De Palma, 1983's 'Scarface' tells the story of Antonio 'Tony' Montana (Al Pacino), a Cuban refugee who comes to the United States with nothing, and works his way right to the top of the organised-crime ladder. With a screenplay written by Oliver Stone, we see Montana start off undertaking small-time jobs whilst hanging out with loyal buddy 'Manny' (Steven Bauer). At this point, Montana is fairly easy-going and jovial - a far cry from the paranoid and deadly Montana we see later in the film. As he gains more respect, the lead character begins to lose the plot - whilst starting to feel untouchable. It's this transition which is the real focus ... Read the complete review
