The iconic film 'Scarface' probably most well known for the infamous line at the end "Say hello to my little friend!" is one of the most controversial and hotly debated films of the past centuary.
Scarface follows the rise and fall of Tony Montana (Al Pacino) and Cuban immagrent brought up during the iron fist of Fidel Castro. Natrually, after a life of being held prisoner by the communist regime his ultimate dream is to become a hugly wealthy America who has the freedom to do as he wishes.
The film depicts his life as he climbs the ranks of the Miami underworld starting out as a lowly drug runner but soon building up a multi-million dollar empire of drugs.
With such a steep rise comes a very steep fall and even though he can classed as the 'bad guy', you can't help but feel empathy for him at the end; even though it is perfectly fitting.

I would definatly say this is more of a guys type of film but the story alone is so good that it still would be an amazing film if it did not have the amount of violence it does.
Of course I would recommend this film, however, it comes with a warning - the mature themes throughout cause distress to many people and I have a lot of friends who think half the things in this film are not necessary. If films were food, this would marmite - you either love it or hate it.
