I saw the origional Scary Movie and they were enough mildly amusing moments to see me through it, so when Scary Movie 2 came out I thought I'd give it a go. I shouldn't have.

I suppose I should have known better than to trust a formula that was in essence a fluke the first time round but something almost compelled me to go. I am still ashamed even now.

It is a diabolical film, scraped from a toilet bowl of ideas that should have been flushed down the pan long ago. Unfunny, cringingly offensive in places. Did these people have no idea what they were doing?

And by the way, you know you've seen a bad film when Tim Curry has been the most interesting person in it, except of course for Rocky Horror. How sad he should end up in this.

It takes pot shots at The Haunting, but a spoof of that was made by Jan De Bont not so long ago and was immensly funnier than this offering...most probably because it wasn't meant too.

Just one word of advice - avoid at all costs. If only I could give this no stars at all...

Most suited for...? The bin? The fire? If only someone could have burnt the negative before release. There is still time before it makes it to video...

A number of people have commented that I have written very little about the plot. The reason for this is simple - there isn't one. Supposedly funny things happen to supposedly funny people in a supposedly haunted house. That's about it. It is offensive, insulting and in very bad taste. As I've said avoid at all costs.
