Advantages: very funny

Disadvantages: none realy

What I found really funny was the reaction of most critics to Scary Movie 2. Almost all of them said it was stupid and should have been made, and that it couldn't hold a candle to the first one. What made this amusing was the fact that the same people talked trash about the first movie, and are now talking about it as if it's the benchmark for all comedies. How quickly they change their minds.

Anyways, I'm about three weeks behind on my reviews, so I'm going to make this short and sweet. I found Scary Movie 2 to be quite funny. Not as gut-bustingly hilarious as its predecessor, but always good for a chuckle or two, and some great occasions. Now, I've often said that reviewing a parody is hard, because there's not really a plot to hang the jokes on. The same goes for this movie right here. If anything, the plot is taken from 1999's horror disaster The Haunting, in which a bunch of people were chosen to spend a few nights in a haunted house, and got killed off one by one.

To emphasize how seriously (or non-seriously) the movie takes itself, three characters who died in the original (if one could call it that) Scary Movie are back for the sequel. Cindy (Anna Faris), who got run over by a car at the end of the first one, is the protagonist once again, and is joined by fellow presumed-deceased alumni Shorty (Marlon Wayans), who was shot through the heart, and Brenda (Regina Hall), who was stabbed to death in a movie theatre. Even Ray (Shawn Wayans), the jock footballer with homosexual tendencies, is back for another go at it.

They are now college students who have been chosen by Professor Oldman (Tim Curry) and his wheelchair-bound assistant Dwight (David Cross) for a sleep study at the haunted Hell House. Along for the ride are fellow students Buddy (Chris Masterson), who has a crush on Cindy, Theo (Kathleen Robertson), obviously playing the extremely hot Catherine Zet

a-Jones character from The Haunting, and Alex (Tori Spelling), who basically didn't even reach my radar, so I completely forget her purpose in the movie. I think to crack a Tori Spelling joke or something. Anyways, the house is haunted by Huey Cain (Richard Moll), the ghost of the house's owner, and the building' janitor/cook Hanson (Chris Elliott), who's extremely ugly and has the most disgusting manicure you've ever seen.

hahaha
I did suspect Stallion of thieve mongering. Also that he had managed to never rate another persons review after posting 6 of his own was amusing.
